Was camping just my daughter and I so couldn't get too far from the tent but it was a night when the Milky Way was visible and I was away from the light pollution. Was lucky to have a clearing in the trees at our campsite facing towards the Milky Way in the pretty densely wooded Baby Doe Campground in Leadville, CO. The trees were really tall here so stood guard framing the Milky Way. Had to wait until 12:30AM for the galactic core to cross the clearing but worth the wait!
#MilkyWayMonday call back to yesterday’s camping post with my daughter. This was through a clearing in the trees a few feet from our tent. Looking forward to more trips this year!
