'Goodnight, sweet prince': Horatio's farewell to his dying friend, with all around, a high onstage body count (from betrayals, double-crossings, stabbings, poisoned cups) against a backdrop of the night from which no traveller returns.

'Be the players ready?' Full house on a precipitous cliff's edge (in Cornwall rather than Elsinore) waiting for #WinchesterPlayers' night-watch (& the old king's ghost) to appear, at the start of #Hamlet in the unique #MinackTheatre.

The #MinackTheatre is perched on the cliffs at #Porthcurno. The first performance in 1931 was a production of Shakespeare's. 'The Tempest'. At the time this picture was taken, Rowena Cade and Billy Rawlings had built a flight of 90 steps up from the beach. 🎭🏖️

We visited the extraordinary #MinackTheatre in #Cornwall last week to see an interesting take on Northanger Abbey by #JaneAusten. What a fabulous place it is! A very enjoyable experience altogether.
