Some improvements to the #homelab #MiniRack, I #3Dprinted some rackmounts for the #mini-pcs, the switch, got a patch panel, and it even fits the #Synology NAS! I got some cheap 10U poles to make my own #10inch mini server rack! Now it just needs handles and stowage for the power bricks. And a box...

Got around to documenting my #MiniRack build. I've had it running smoothly for a couple months and it's been really useful as a home lab Kubernetes cluster.

I moved my #Pine64 #quartz64 NAS to my #minirack !
I designed (using #FreeCAD) a 100% custom shelf for the power supply, the SATA controller and the SBC and 3D printed it.
This is the first time I design a 3D model! I don't even own a 3D printer! It's not perfect, but I'm happy with the result!
A 10" mini rack, partially assembled, next to piles of random computer components, like a pile of harddrives, RAM, a mini PC, and a bunch of disorganized tools, everything from pliers and screw drivers, to a soldering iron and an old toothbrush.
Using my ugliest filament remnants to 3D print components for a 10" rack server (NAS/Drive Zoo). Looking to run something *like* SeaFile, but that actually stores the files raw and not in a weird container format...
Any recommendations?

My #minirack & #homelab is just getting started. Two Pis share space with a switch.
A Pi 4 is running OpenWebRX+ & has two SDR boxes attached. I can scan the radio spectrum from any browser.
Other Pi (5 with 16GB) is running Open WebUI & a number of local LLMs.
Hoping to add a #GlobalTalk device.
The new DeskPi RackMate 12U model raises questions about the definition of 'mini' racks.
DIY enthusiasts are opting for cheaper alternatives, while Project MINI RACK sees a surge in builds and ideas.
