Photograph of my watercolour palette discovered, uncleaned, in my art cupboard. Last used when designing travel cushions for my garden bench. Palette is white/cream, lying across the picture. There are three rows of paint mixing compartments: eight small circular indents across the top; four larger circular indents on the middle row; four square indents across the bottom. Paint has long-solidified in each. Some indents are holding colour from the tube ready to be mixed, while others are a mish-mash of colours. Some have separated to show some of the colours combined. Colours include pinky-red, browns, sunflower yellow-orange, lilac, sky blue, and greens.
Doesn't every hobby artist have one of these lurking in a cupboard?

Photograph taken of a ridiculously large teddy bear my son gave to me for Mother's Day some years ago. Its body fur is a very soft cream with pink quilted ear fur. It has an expression of happiness and contentment but it sits in the morning sunshine so I would too! Shiny black eyes contrast with the soft fur.

Symmetrical pattern of what looks very loosely like tree rings (huge amounts of artistic license in that description!) in tiny seed pearls and bronze beads. The pattern is intersected horizontally by a straight waistband in a different design with larger pearls. There is a vertical intersection too, which is two straight lines of pearls edged by tiny bronze beads. Must be incredibly heavy to wear!

Eight shoe heels from 1926. Plastic-covered heels are set with diamanté pastes in a variety of different patterns. Heels are in a range of colours including black, green, white and red. They were made by J. Collinson & Co, on Bold Street in Liverpool. They feature in the Bedazzled exhibition at Lady Lever Art Gallery in Port Sunlight, Liverpool.

A collage of two close-up photos of the pockets on a homemade coat from vibrant 'biblical fabric' (Dad's words not mine). Final stage was the button choice - dark or light. Went with dark. Fabric is thin vertical stripes with pattern within some (herringbone and hearts) in a variety of cheerful colours (turquoise, ochre, sienna, red, brown, blue). Particularly proud of the pattern matching. Instructions firm on 'not appropriate for stripes'...challenge accepted!
