Per Amy Rose's advice, Rider traveled to Grimwood Village to meet with the forested town's local 'Matron' in the hopes of better understanding the Phantom Ruby he was implanted with. But perhaps his ungroomed fur and unrefined behaviors were too much for Mrs. Gossamer to handle, for in the process of her 'educating' the boy on the unpredictable energies of the Ruby she took it upon herself to educate him in etiquette and fashion too... Made for quite the surprise for his friends, when they dropped in to visit after a week of his 'training' with the witch. Surely she'll reverse it soon, right...?

In addition to his cryokinesis, Frost the Snow Leopard eventually develops attunement to Chaos energy (through contact w/ an Emerald, no less). Through harnessing his emotions, he's able to gather ambient Chaos energy and channel it into bursts of kinetic force, such as the standard 'Rage Buster' overhand punch seen here.

Once a scientist in the corrupt administration of Commander Irons, Tsarina had her own ambitions after catching word of her coworker Starline's experience with the technology of Dr. Eggman- and after honing the Metal Virus into the less-mutative, more controllable Unity Virus, she's intent on uniting the whole world as 'Krepostniks' with herself as Tsar.

Sketch sheet for Tsarina's unique minions, the 'Krepostniks'. Usually formed by attaching one of her Unity Virus-infected shed skins to a victim, the individuals gradually become more reptilian and robotic as they succumb to infection.

Ferrona the Husky is an OC created by one of my patrons; previously seen in the August monthly sketches, she used to be a more free-spirited member of the G.U.N. under Commander Tower before brainwashing by the Eggman Empire turned her into a more strict commander figure. She's (currently, in Returners time post-War) managed to overcome the Eggman loyalty hypnosis, but still keeps a fair bit of her strictness and domineering presence.

Study 1: Smoke. Yako controls a Phantom Ruby fragment whose illusions manifest in Dark Gaia-like smoke, letting him dissolve into mist to evade attack or 'condense' the smoke into solid forms like possessive masks & monstrous servants.

Study 2: Fire. As his powers increase, Yako grows capable of shapeshifting his body into different forms, most often knives or swords made of fire. The spiral is a design constant among his pyrokinesis abilities.

Patreon art is taking a while to parse still, but I wanted to share some of the studies I'm doin' for this month. Been a while since I drew Yako, but I think this helps visualize his powers way more.

Original May 2024 comic. In-story, the B.O.N.D. Suit is a technology from GUN's Dr. Query made to enhance combat capabilities in the field & provide other benefits through its intelligent, ever-mutable nanites, but w/out reading its directions Frost just locked himself into its default tuxedo mode and can't figure out how to turn it off.

July 2024 drawing, this one w/ a more experimental shading style that's sorta become my default for future Mobian content. Seems like Frost agreed to a film deal for GUN to inspire future enlistments, or maybe I just wanted to make a pun on his name. Maybe he's not as against the suit as he used to be~

The Returners (L-R: Plastique the Skunk, Hongcha the Red Panda, Zoey the Arctic Fox, & Frost the Snow Leopard) are formally addressing Lanolin, telling her after a bungled first mission that they’ve decided not to keep her as a member. Lanolin angrily retorts that they kept Rider the Cat in their team, despite him (seemingly) contributing little besides intel, and Rider responds in his own snarky way that “she should go middle-manage someone else”. Which she will, and it’ll sort of come back to bite the team…

This is the canonical reason why Lanolin’s got beef w/ the Returners btw

Nothing says "I'm irrevocably stuck in Sonic brainrot" like drafting 2-3 pages of notes on Sonic Forces' plot, locations, & timeline so that I can try writing a #MobiusReturners prologue to describe what Frost & Hongcha were doing.

My snep mobian Frost, here corrupted into the Egg Boss 'Frostbite', holds his mother Holiday hostage as his girlfriend Hongcha sprays a hypnotic perfume into Holiday's face. Though she'd spent time as a convict of the Eggman Empire in Prison Island, a timeskip to much later shows her cleaned up and heavily made-up as the new proprietress of the Yuletide Lounge happily embraces the high life. Why run a humble, dingy, two-floor arcade cafe that's also your house when you can be in charge of a five-star restaurant that rakes in the dough?

Even as the newest servant of Dr. Eggman, rescuing his mama took priority for Frostbite- but his rescue seems more to do w/ "saving" her from the dregs of society...

This comm was a good excuse to reuse background assets of a casino interior from a previous piece; for a while I was creatively bankrupt on how to pose the idea right, but a friend reminded me of Sealguy's Housewife Aigis and that inspired the final pose that I'm very proud of. The drink-dispensing arm is another element I'm proud of w/ this; I always like when TFs cater the victim's features/abilities to their new job, and I KNEW I had to do something w/ the robo-arm. Going from a potential weapon to a harmless reminder of her servitude just seems perfect for a demotion to Bunny Pawn x3
