There is no train over the strait of Gibraltar (yet). And just one ferry to Tanger Ville port where you arrive right at the old medina (the others go to the new port). So the 8th leg was a ferry. Very comfortable: Morocco does border formalities directly aboard.

As it was #santasemaña in Sevilla, the way to our accommodation crossed a procession of the Amargura Hermandad 😲. Next leg was not by train but by bus from the old coach station (photo in b/w CC-BY Gzzz @Wikimedia) to Tarifa. With a 1st sight of Africa.

6th train is the AVE from the huge Puerta de Atocha station (still under renovation) to the no less stunning Sevilla Santa Justa station (almost the size of Leipzig Hbf). Sevilla is filled with the orange blossom scent and our next overnight stay. 🇲🇦 المفربية ⵍⵎⵖⵔⵉⴱ #MoroccoByTrain
