Some pics I took in the #Blean Woods last summer. Oak, chestnut, even #aspen germinating freely everywhere. In Cambs, woods don't have any kind of understorey, because muntjac eat everything that comes up. Kent doesn't have a #muntjac problem, prob because they all die on the insanely fast roads.

Interesting encounter with a #muntjac yesterday. A male was caught in a tree by its antlers. Observed for a while and it couldn’t get free. was most worried it would be attacked by a dog. So I climbed down, pulled a branch to un-trap and it darted off but not before giving me a menacing growl!
