The bickering trope can be overdone of course - which is what I vaguely remember happened in #LoveNextDoor (I watched it but have forgotten most of it)

#MyDearNemesis came close to taking the bickering over the line, but it ended up in the right place (for viewers who could forgive the premise)

I haven’t yet finished #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines which is why it’s not listed - I haven’t dropped it though, I’m just waiting for the right mood to finish it

There are kdramas I’ve really enjoyed watching this year - such as #TraumaCode #StudyGroup #LoveScout & #MyDearNemesis - & from last year I absolutely loved #Jeongnyeon

But, like you, my preferences tend to be historical, or wuxia & xianxia dramas, & China does these very well.

In kdramas I liked the couple in #MyDearNemesis, & while
#LoveScout wasn’t perfect, I thought they were ok

I just got around to reading this - I’m so happy that you got such a kick out of #MyDearNemesis! Some people seem to have felt less sympathetic towards the leads, preferring the second leads instead. But I really liked the push-pull dynamic of Ban Joo-yeon and Baek Soo-jeong,

And I completely forgot that Choi Hyun-wook - of recent #MyDearNemesis fame - plays one of the main leads here 🙂

This is my main beef with kdramas. I’ve lost count of how many fun kdramas I’ve started and get hooked on - & then dropped because I have to wait sometimes *weeks* for new episodes to dribble out

But #MyDearNemesis is one I have patience for

#MyDearNemesis is really good (though I think it may be one of the dramas Carrie has already ruled out)

I watch all kinds of stuff, but the only reason I’ve got #MyDearNemesis on hold is because kdramas are so damn slow to release episodes! I’ve enjoyed it so far, but I didn’t have any major expectations for it (as I did for #WhenLifeGivesYouTangerines, & which is so far living up to the hype!)

In terms of kdramas I’m enjoying #MyDearNemesis , though it’s still airing so it depends how quickly you binge it

i like the 2nd couple in #MyDearNemesis: adults who hook up immediately out of mutual attraction without even mentioning dating since that's not what they want. (a similar pair in #MySweetMobster also contrasted a younger, less mature/more hesitant & awkward main couple.) yay sex positivity!
