Lateral view of a hover fly sitting on a daisy-like flower with white petals and yellow stamen providing pollen. The fly is hairy with dark yellowish and black patches. The legs are yellow towards the body and black towards the feet. The eyes are dark brown as are the mouth parts.

A batman #hoverfly from the #Canaries. Must have freshly hatched according to the nice coloration. It is a common species but pretty nevertheless.
