Our latexless #jackfruit fruits almost the whole year round and today, it’s showing off again.
This is what consistency in farming looks like because when you care for the land, it finds ways to care for you back.

This one took patience ——- a lot of it.

November 2025 — received new bulbs
March 17, 2026 — finally saw the first shoots!
Covered them with rice straw and this is what they look like now.

This tree, with its unforgettable scent and stories, found its way back into my life. I planted one here on the farm not just for the memories, but also because its leaves can be used as a natural insect repellant.

Not all mangoes grow high in the branches.
Some stay close to the trunk as if the tree knows the farmer will appreciate the easy harvest.

Nature sometimes makes farming a little kinder.

Harvest katmon fruit when it is fully green and begins to soften slightly, as this signals optimal ripeness for its sour flavor. In the Philippines, this typically occurs between May and December. To check if it’s ready, gently pull on the fruit—if it detaches easily, it’s likely ripe for harvesting.

We pruned the trees along the fence as they were already reaching the electric cables. We also harvested some Thai bamboo and transferred them along the fence to provide more privacy. Additionally, we removed the lower branches of our Philippine native trees—mali-mali, katmon, and tui #MyriadFarms
