Quiet migration morning at Tynemouth today. Highlights of 12 whooper swans north and 3 sand martins south but very few passerines moving. A singing reed bunting on the Spanish Battery was unusual for here. #nebirding #patchbirding

2. A strong movement of Kittiwake and Common Gulls offshore all powering north. Also Red-throated Diver and Common Scoter 3. Waders were more evident today- Redshank 69, Curlew 54, Sanderling 31, Purple Sandpiper 3 and a different 1st-S. male Wheatear at Jackie’s beach. #NEBirding #UKBirding
