Just finished rereading North and South - I love that M+T's coming together is precipitated by her using her newfound wealth to reboot his business. She knows how important it is to him and he loves that #NSBonnets
Interesting that Margaret has noticed Mrs Thornton's tendency to put on a show of affection for Fanny in order to 'veil her daughter's weakness'. #NSBonnets
The part in chapter 41 where Margaret finally feels free to be unhappy is pretty powerful. She's had to be strong for others so long she barely knows how to use her time #NSBonnets
