If anyone on the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board has investments in Emera or any related company, they should be forced to divest and all decisions made prior to divestment be audited and reconsidered. #NSpoli #NSP #Emera #NSUARB #UARB
a wrong answer, but without his stamp, #NSUARB knows nothing of the price gouge, unique to Halifax Water, not NSPower, not Waterloo Ontario Hydo, no other place charges a senior $12 to get their first paper bill, a relationship of 40 years @billygillishrm.bsky.social and this is unaccepable
Halifax Water Truck, parked out of sight in Mall Parking lot for non-business related use.
Halifax Water Truck, backed in, at the front of a Spa and Salon for a few hours of non-business related use.
Halifax Water Truck, parked at a Walmart near Employee Parking section, for non-business related use. No response from Halifax Water when called.
I've moved. #Halifax owns #HalifaxWater yet they seem to be orphans, on their own mission without SOP or Adult Supervision. They answer to no customer, they have no competition, and they joyride company vehicles with our water increase money. I've moved from their reach also in 2025.
#NSUARB gifts
Who's going to hold them accountable? They are a monopoly. They don't provide customer service, and they answer to no one. Don't say they answer to the #NSUARB, because if they did, you could file a complaint. but they never see it. The internal Halifax Water ombudsman has to approve all complaints
Personal hate for #HalifaxWater. I did all the steps, to get my bill, and even the lame ombudsman could not get me a copy, nor the Halifax councillor who sits on the board. They have no #CustomerService because they are an undisciplined monopoly. NSPower doesn't ask $12 for a printed bill. #NSUARB
Halifax Water hires an Ombudsman. He has no power, and if the decision does not favor Halifax Water, they can ignore his recommendation, or fire him to avoid the action. No one from City Hall or NSUARB will care?
You must use him first so failures never reach the ears of #NSUARB #Performance
DYK, Halifax Water charges $12 to send a bill. A Monopoly that sets their own rules: #NSUARB rubber stamps without analysis. IE: A similar Monopoly, NSPower, does not charge for a printed bill & will reissue free, if missing. Halifax water refuses.
A public utility that cannot be challenged?
Most backup systems have a required timeframe. It would be in the SOP (Standard Operating Procedures). Has a fuse ever blown before? Is there an Alarm? Will the Nova Scotia Utilities Review Board #NSUARB
nsuarb.novascotia.ca require accountability, or are they just a sign-off on anything suggested?
