David Johansen, R.I.P. Love them or no, the New York Dolls influence on so many other bands, as well as music itself is undeniable. They propelled the NY punk scene & influenced punk, glam, hair metal. AKA Buster Poindexter had a big hit in the 80's. I'm going to go listen to some Dolls...
