Richmond determined the outcome of the Civil War. To close out #NationalParkWeek, I visited Richmond National Battlefield Park to tour the Chimborazo Visitor Center, Fort Harrison Battlefield Grounds, and Malvern Hill Battlefield to learn about how NPS preserves the stories at these sites.

A favorite hike at #Haleakalā National Park is the Halemauʻu Trail to Rainbow Bridge. At 1.1 miles each way, visitors are often rewarded with a rainbow or other lovely phenomena, like Brocken Spectres. This trail offers a view into the Koʻolau Gap.
