The entire frame is filled with leaves of a bright decorative grass, strioed in orange and green. It is amazingly colored.

Three apple trees are espaliered on a wire grid in a garden bordering the street, forming a low wall of leafy apple laden branches. Two of them have red and gold apples, and the one on the far end has yellow ones. If you look closely you can see some of the red and gold apples have bird pecks in them. There is a rock wall below the apple trees. The sky above is blue with wispy clouds.

Nicely espaliered apples, probably dwarf. It's too bad the birds pecked them, because they were covered during the growing season. Hopefully they get harvested before other critters eat them!

Close-up side view of an earth bumblebee sipping from a golden yellow flower pistil. The golden stripe on thorax and abdomen segment back as well as the pollen puff on the pollen basket of the hind leg are harmonious with the flower’s colors. The black base color and white fur on the tail gives a little contrast and makes it look very fluffy, while the wings and compound eyes shimmer in daylight.

The earth bumblebee on another Telekia flower’s pistil. She is working her way around the nectar openings but still has the hind legs turned sideways to the camera. Both the flower and the bee’s fur looks very soft in this lighting.

Almost finished with this flower, the bumblebee is now almost looking at us, with the head a little down focused on sipping, but both eyes visible. The hind leg still holds on to the center of the pistil, but the wings are now spread in an angle towards the camera. The daylight reflections in the eyes and wings are almost symmetrical and a little fairy-like.

I saw a fluffy earth #bumblebee on the Telekia flowers today! Not quite as big as the queen recently, but a very busy bee with nice pollen puffs collected on the hind legs. She was very focused and let me photograph her from several angles 🌼🐝
