Male Great Horned Owl (GHO).
This is on the main road in Fort Clinch State Park, Florida, a Live Oak Canopy with hanging moss everywhere so it is quite dark necessitating some aggressive editing with Affinity Photo (think Photoshop). In addition the bird was at least 40 yards away so aggressive cropping occurred as well. Given that. Not bad.
A large horned owl with horizontal stripes across his chest below a white tie like collar with a brown outline about his face into his ears. He is sitting on a short 4inch diameter (+/-) broken off branch of the live Oak that supports him. Moss frames him.

After years of watching/photographing birds I have only seen 2 now 3 owl species. Fort Clinch has a recurrent nesting pair that I caught digitally today & yesterday
