A portrait view from one end of a small, narrow lake with a distant backdrop of mountains under a clear and hazy, pale blue, sunny sky. The lake is only a dozen metres wide but runs in an almost rectangular form away from us for several tens of metres. Rounded, green grass banks flank the side and end, and there are a handful of trees sparsely set beyond the end of the lake, all with branches filled with green leaves, all reflecting in the stippled surface of the water. Some low, wooden buildings with steep roofs are to the left of the lake at the far end and there are more buildings in the distance between a gap in the two largest trees. People are gathered near the nearest buildings, all with small orange life jackets on. Two yellow kayaks are in the water, one with one person in it, one with two people in it, and there is another kayak about to set off from near the buildings where we can just see a pile of more boats for the people here to use. The sky pales to nearly white as it drops down towards the very distant mountain peaks which run in a jagged frame over the scene of grass, lake, and trees. The mountains are pale shadows on the right of view but snowy peaks on the left side of the range catch the high sunlight.
