To get in the zone for Olive Smith in The Love Hypothesis, Lili Reinhart found herself watching a lot of rom-coms in her downtime—“not necessarily for inspiration but for comfort,” she says. “I was really filming that black-cat-guy, golden-retriever-girl dynamic type of movie, which is funny because it’s the opposite in real life,” she adds. “Tom [Bateman], who plays Adam in the movie, is very happy, bright, bubbly, and social, and I am introverted and a little bit more shy, quiet, and reserved. So, we’re playing the opposite of our real-life personalities a little bit.”

Lili Reinhart watched a lot of rom-coms during her downtime while working on THE LOVE HYPOTHESIS.

“I just shot it for two months in Montreal. Yeah, holy shit. [Laughs]. I mean, I've done things based off of IP before, but I… yeah, TikTok really, really loved what I was getting, putting out there for the movie. As for the movie itself, I mean, we had a really good time shooting it, and I had the best co-star of all time in Tom Bateman, and everyone else. It was a really fun, young, fun cast. And I think we're just hoping that we do, you know, the book lovers justice and that it's—I don't know, I mean, I did my job, I did my job, and now I just hope that it does well.”
