Open source is global by design - Europe’s challenge is to keep it that way Europe’s bid for digital sovereignty risks fragmenting the open source ecosystem if it drifts into protectionism. Gabriele Columbro, General Manager of Linux Foundation Europe, argues that the better path is to build commercial strength on global open source foundations.

So far, I haven't seen anyone in the Digital Sovereignty movement propose protectionism in open-source. Yet, we have to be careful how we navigate that line.
