Today Council approved the immediate cessation of raising national flags of countries other than Canada on the city flagpole originally intended for charities and associations. Our citizens come from all over the world, leaving conflicts to become Canadians. We welcome all. Come to City Hall with proof of Mississauga address and pick up a free, full sized Canadian flag!

Hey #OttPoli people. Our city should follow Mississauga's lead and adopt a similar flag policy. Yes, we have embassies here. Yes, the feds do already provide recognition on specific poles.
