A metaphor for (PDA) pathological demand avoidance…

It’s like you’re stuck in a video game that keeps triggering escort missions—except the person you’re escorting is yourself, and you’re under-leveled, low on health, and the game won’t let you save.

Forcing an autistic child to mask is a form of abuse. It’s hard parenting an autistic child with a coparent who doesn’t understand that the child is perfect in their own way and doesn’t need to ‘act’ NT. #autism #PDA #PDAautism #actuallyautistic

I'm writing a webinar on my experience of being #PDA & when the demands of teenage hood made eating too hard.

I'm including the line 'Everything is limited'.

My tolerance to demands was limited. In order to accept the demand of eating, I needed the demands of school to lower.

I let my son pinch my elbow every time he's frustrated instead of actually attacking me or breaking things.

We both know it's misdirection and it's an unspoken agreement that we both act like it really hurts.

This is a new medium for me. Not an ad. I have never worked with water soluble oil paints. I like the time that oils give me to work with but the smell & solvents have always been a deterrent for me. It was hard to get past these barriers #aphantasia #undiagnosedauadhd #highmaskingautism #PDAautism

You aren't lazy. You just need to slow down Instead of viewing laziness as something we need to fix or overcome with caffeine or longer work hours, social psychologist Devon Price says to think of laziness as a sign you probably need a break.

This 17-minute interview will benefit you no matter who you are, what politics you have, or what your gender, race, or income level may be.
