I've found that these walks or visiting fancy houses and their grounds has done WONDERS for my mental health
Yesterday's (and today's) #PiBI2025 had some great talks looking at broadening the research on groups that have previously had less focus - be that culturally, sexual orientation, gender, neurotype, age etc.
Really important work going on! I learnt a lot, very enlightening to hear

And finally Joel Bates and Nadia Maalin talked about how minority stress in gender- and sexual-minority individuals may lead to depression where body appreciation and self-esteem are low and unable to buffer the minority stress.

'Where there could have been earlier intervention there could have been prevention' - opening session 3 at #PIBI2025, play therapists emphasise the need for more child-appropriate approaches to body image concerns at early stages in Emily Horton and co's amazing 4-person speed talk!
Session 1 of PiBI is underway - Ana Chamorro started us off talking about bidirectional marginalisation risks and beauty ideals for Wayuu indigenous women in Colombia.
Megan Sutton presented detailed statistical analysis of multiple facets of body image.
