#Pabuk has weakened to a remnant low off southern #Vietnam but a band of convection associated with the low continues to bring areas of have rain to central Vietnam. Rain should ease late Wednesday night or early Thursday, local time.

Seems like #Pabuk (fmr. #RominaPH) decided to give us a neat holiday gift of degenerating (again) into a low pressure area. Well, back to work on our extra extra secret project!

Surprise! #Pabuk (fmr. #RominaPH) is back, though it's currently still struggling with vertical wind shear coming from the east. Strong rains and gusty winds may be observed over Vietnam.
Also, happy holidays to anyone who celebrates! We have a ๐ for you soon next year!
Tropical Storm #Pabuk will continue to bring areas of heavy rain to central #Vietnam through Wednesday. Storm will dissipate off southern Vietnam by Thursday night.
It appears that #Pabuk (#RominaPH) is likely a tropical cyclone once again now that it is developing sustained convection on the northwestern side. Flooding will be a concern for #Vietnam over the next few days.

#Pabuk (fmr. #RominaPH) weakens and degenerates into a low pressure area as it struggles to maintain convection. The JTWC still has it as a tropical depression, while the JMA has it as a tropical storm. Despite this, some rains may occur as it approaches Vietnam.

For some reason, the JMA has named 28W (fmr. #RominaPH) as #Pabuk, though it's still a tropical depression as per our analysis of satellite imagery. It's also doing a loop while its circulation is exposed. Cool. Regardless, keep watch for those in central to southern Vietnam.
Surprising!

It may be close to #Christmas but Tropical Depression #28W has formed in the South China Sea. Although the environment is not particularly favorable, it could become a tropical storm (next name #Pabuk) before weakening and dissipating over #Vietnam by midweek.
It is expected to intensify into a tropical storm, in which it may attain the international name of #Pabuk. As mentioned previously, the Kalayaan Islands may encounter some rains and winds. Take action, and be advised. Stay safe.

Thanks to a recent ASCAT pass, it appears that #96W is now a tropical depression near the southern #Philippines. Some intensification is possible over the next few days as it moves slowly northwestwards. Next Name = #Pabuk ( #QuerubinPH)
