A male Patchwork Leafcutter Bee feeding on a bramble flower. He's a smallish solitary bee, with a wing length of about 8mm. He's mainly black, but his thorax is covered with thick tawny hair, as is his face, and each abdominal segment has a fringe of tawny hair.
