Geomagnetic Constraints on Millicharged Dark Matter Dark matter having a small electric charge would presumably generate a magnetic-field variation on Earth's surface, but observations find no such signal.

Using data from SuperMAG and SNIPE Hunt, they set constraints on the effective charge in the 10⁻¹⁸–10⁻¹⁴ eV mass range, surpassing stellar cooling limits by up to 18 orders of magnitude.
