I like this image a lot for its depth and colour. The bee was busy pollinating so I had enough time to capture a side profile. This is my favourite out of this shoot. -Canon EOS 100D with EF 28-90mm lens. -F/5.6 -1/250sec -ISO 400 -83mm with Macro glass lens +4. -Taken around 11:00 -Flipped the image for the flower to cover the right side. -Colour corrected the background and brightness of the flowers and bee. -Increased contrast and brightened the bokeh in the background.

A unique aspect of using Lightroom is the Presets it offers. The one I selected for the photo is Summer themed. The image is weaker unfortunately with the blurriness being the main downside. I enjoy editing it regardless. -Canon EOS 100D with EF 28-90mm lens. -F/5.6 -1/320sec -ISO 800 -83mm with Macro glass lens +4. -Taken around 11:00 -Selected a pre-established colour scheme for the image, and blue/green focused. -Sharpened the centre flower and bee in the foreground. -Cropped on all sides to create a 3:2 ratio.

Bees around this location were smaller then what I'm used to. Aside from quick movement, the main difficulty was where the flowers were. The shade was a common place unfortunately.

I'm sure you're familiar with Adobe Lightroom. This was the first image I tested with this program. -Canon EOS 100D with EF 28-90mm lens. -F/10 -1/160s -ISO 400 -52mm with Macro glass lens +4. -Taken around 11:00 -Adjusted exposure and contrast in the background. -Colouration changed to a cooler tone with green hue increased. -Blurred the background more to increase Bokeh. -Only selected the centre flower for light and colour correction.

During this shoot, I mostly turned my camera portrait for these pictures. Rotating this one worked well as it expanded the bokeh in the background. -Canon EOS 100D with EF 28-90mm lens. -F/4 -1/1250sec -ISO 400 -35mm with Macro glass lens +4. -Taken around 11:00 -Turned the image black and white and pinpointed individual colours to adjust accordingly. -Rotated the image to landscape to increase depth in the background. -Slightly blurred the bokeh further.

Since these flowers covered most of the wall, I had plenty to choose from. The shutter speed is high to capture a bee while it was on this flower. The main challenge I had was switching settings when the bee was on a different flower that had less light. -Canon EOS 100D with EF 28-90mm lens. -F/5 -1/1250sec -ISO 400 -62mm with Macro glass lens +4. -Taken around 11:00 -Adjusted lighting in the foreground and darkened the background. -Colour picked a purple hue for the overall setting. -Sharpened the centre flower and erased a loose petal that looked out of place.

The first technique I was taught was Bokeh. These flowers were hanging from a brick wall with a couple bees flying around. This was also the first time using a new editing program.

For this shoot, and learning from my Hadleigh castle reshoot, colouration is increased combined with selective focusing. -Canon EOS 100D -F/9 -1/640s -ISO 200 -18mm with a wide angle lens. -Taken around 12:30 -Adjusted colouration in the foreground and added a blue hue in the background. -Changed light levels for the city to appear clearer. -Cropped the image to offset the city line.

Usually I edit my collection with at least one different image from the rest, so I decided to lower the colouration. At least with this composition, the lack of colour works well. -Canon EOS 100D -F/9 -1/1000s -ISO 200 -12mm with a wide angle lens. -Taken around 13:00 -Desaturated the image to apply a pale green to the hills. -Adjusted light levels in the background and decreased brightness in the foreground.

While exploring the fields, there were buttercup flowers. This location had buttercups on both sides and works well with the path in the centre. I decided to do a low angle shot. -Canon EOS 100D -F/9 -1/500s -ISO 200 -13mm with a wide angle lens. -Taken around 13:00 -Decreased brightness of the foreground. -Adjusted white balance in the background. -Used a warmer tone for the buttercups to stand out.

Looking back at my old photos, my Hadleigh Park shoot was one of fond of. But there are some qualities that can be improved. Lack of colour was a main issue.
