Robert Aske, lawyer and rebel was executed. He was hanged in chains outside Clifford’s Tower (the keep of York Castle) on a special scaffold erected for the occasion.

Thomas Darcy, 1st Baron Darcy de Darcy, was tried for treason at Westminster after being implicated in the Pilgrimage of Grace. Found guilty, he was later beheaded on Tower Hill.
