Thanks for the reminder to contact STL-TV & #PlanCommSTL staff. It was a brief presentation followed by some Q & A.
Zach Wilson admitted that SLDC historically was not using TIF wisely for residential projects with little commercial activity.
At the Jan. 21 City of St. Louis Planning Commission meeting, SLDC proudly stated that the TIF subsidy made the “free parking” possible at City Foundry.
🅿️ isn’t free. The public is footing the bill, with SLPS shouldering a heavier burden than other taxing districts.

I can imagine a packed room for a City of St. Louis Planning Commission meeting involving data centers. But only if sufficient notice is given. The agenda and resolutions for today’s 5:30 p.m. Zoom meeting of the #PlanCommSTL was posted shortly before 8 a.m. yesterday.
The 5:30 p.m. Planning Commission meeting on Jan. 21st will be held via Zoom only.
Per comments by SLDC’s Otis Williams at the 1/14 TIF Commission, expect a new TIF project proposal in the coming months.
