Maybe this is Plum Leaf #Gall caused by the mite Eriophyes similis on Blackthorn leaves. The bushes had very few sloes.

Wednesday - time for a #plantgall? A cherry gall induced by the asexual generation of the gall wasp Cynips quercusfolii on a local Oak. This will eventually fall to the ground with the leaf and the adults will eventually emerge.
