Fun fact: This bipedal dinosaur is a very early "sauropodomorph." It likely used its strong arms and long claws to grasp plants during feeding as well as use in self defense.

Talso love how in the end, when a group of plateosaurus fight back against the dilophosaurus. I like this ending because it shows that prosauropods are not easy and they can defend themselves.

三疊紀末以前，恐龍還未統治著生態系的頂點，而是一群相對少見的，中小型肉食或雜食動物，比如之前介紹的始盜龍或者農神龍這早期恐龍，牠們與巨大兇猛的偽鱷類及龐大的素食者二齒獸類，一起步步為營的生活著，直到三疊紀末期，二齒獸類逐漸衰退，才讓這些新興的素食恐龍有機會得以發展。
板龍生活在三疊紀末的歐洲，不過與後來那些個頭更大的蜥腳類不同，牠是以兩隻後腳行走，指爪巨大但粗短的前肢則是用來抓取枝葉，或是進行防衛和與同類爭鬥用，板龍的化石數量眾多，證明了這個三疊紀最大的動物在當時非常繁盛。

The posture of #Plateosaurus has been the source of a surprisingly high amount of debate and study. One side (seemly most prevalent now) depicts the #dinosaur as an obligate biped - always on two legs. The other camp believes it was a facultative biped, alternating between all-fours and bipedality.
