58-year-old man charged in connection with Personation of a Peace Officer A 58-year-old man from Pointe-du-Chêne has been charged in connection with several offences, including personation of a peace officer, in Pointe-du-Chêne, N.B. On August 26, 2025, members of the Shediac RCMP detachment received information that an individual was in possession of what was believed to be a retired police car, police uniforms, and other equipment, and was intending to commit criminal offences while personating a police officer.

People should NOT be able to purchase police cars, uniforms, sirens and so on! This could have resulted in a repeat of the mass murder in NS #Portapique

The cemetery, down a quiet cul-de-sac in the small, seaside community of Portapique. Where the start of Nova Scotia's worst mass murder began.

Residents were traumatized by the murders, and did not want gawkers or curious people on their a quiet cul-de-sac of Portapique. Garbage Cans ,with no parking on them, PRIVATE PROPERTY, NO ACCESS PERMITTED, TRESPASSERS WILL BE PROSECUTED and other NO TRESPASSING signs . Not only could we not stop there, which we didn't want to now that we knew, we could not turn around easily in an 24 foot RV Camper with dogs barking and residents scornfully staring at us

As we were turning, I got a photo of a long windy river run-off into mud flats covered with green marsh grass. Fundy Tides of up to 52 feet, will cover this completely on high tide

We poke every back road as we circle #NovaScotia.
We only stay in Five Islands; we stop all the way there & back, hiking ocean floor & towns along highway. We accidentally found ourselves in #Portapique after the Worst Mass Murder in NS. Embarrassed, it was difficult to turn a rig, to leave #WAYCTV

Build a community hall in a small village for 500 thousand dollars to help people to move on, yet it was built in a flood plain and now the sewer is backed up and events canceled until spring. #portapique
