When she woke up, she was securely tied/gagged and sequestered in a section of Arecibo while waiting to be interrogated, she hopes to free herself thanks to what she was given during her hard training at the DGSE to face this kind of delicate situation if it were to happen to her without resorting to a James Bond gadget who could have been confiscated while she was out of it. While waiting to untie herself, Yumi hopes that Ulrich will have had better luck by not being detected and that he won't have to come and save her otherwise it would be a bit vexing for her and would remind her too much of what Aelita endured when she, Ulrich and Odd were her bodyguards on Lyoko and the Replikas.

Yumi and Ulrich were translated there and had to deal with xanatifies as well as translatable Mantas, the geisha is a diversion by fighting the Mantas out of the base while Ulrich took charge of confronting the employees xanatized using his penchak-silat and goju-ryu karate techniques to effectively fight them while spraying some instruments in the control room in order to find the supercomputer to destroy to weaken XANA.
