It’s kind of nuts just how much prices for non-mint postwar Lionel have fallen in recent years. A decade ago I could have never imagined picking these up at the prices I have. They’re a great value if you learn how to fix ‘em.

I still can’t believe the deal I managed to get on this. It absolutely lives up to its reputation as “The Growler”. Those twin motors have a very distinct snarl that really compliments the engine’s power!

My shiny silver streamliner set No. 1464w from 1951! This set was also available in 1950 in yellow and gray, and 1952-53 without gray roofs and with the engines renumbered to 2033.
