Super trip to Polesden Lacey ⁦‪@nationaltrust.bsky.social‬⁩ with ⁦‪ @dyscoveraphasia.bsky.social supporting people with #PrimaryProgressiveAphasia to chat, meet others, learn & enjoy. A preview of the lunch menu to read at home, simplified info, and a trained guide made all the difference

My dad can’t talk. He has PPA, a form of dementia.
He’s been crying for an hour. I wish I could console him but nothing I’ve done has helped. He will likely cry himself to sleep. I hope tomorrow is a better day for him.

Caught Dad & Mom in a tender moment this Thanksgiving. She has been struggling with moderate severity dementia, so it's a bit bittersweet this year.

This is one of the most accessible, educative, practical & useful papers in #PrimaryProgressiveAphasia I've found in a long time. A must-read for everyone involved in supporting people living with #PPA (both professionals and families)....
