I am not usually a fan of this trope. My least favorite kind is the “Surprise! I’m the one you have been searching for because we shared one moment!” But I do like a childhood connection where they actually know each other. Like in #PrisonPlaybook.

I finally watched, and finished, the #Kdrama #ResidentPlaybook and I have to say I didn't like it that much, it was just OK. It's too obviously done for the fans of #HospitalPlaylist, which is decent. However, my favorite remains #PrisonPlaybook.

With an incredible cast bringing their A Game, Prison Playbook is the phrase “don’t judge someone unless you’ve walked in their shoes” in #kdrama form. Whoops... started another #kdrama After finishing the released episodes of Resident Playbook, I decided to try Prison Playbook... When does Jung Hae In arrive? (Asking for a friend... 👀) #prisonplaybook

Right? That’s why I think only the first drama, #PrisonPlaybook, had some thought put into its sports-adjacent English title. The other titles are just a play (ha!) on the same word.

American sports in general.

But I’m wondering why playbook/playlist are used in the English titles at all, because the literal translation is not that, and there were other places to go with the translation.

#PrisonPlaybook did invoke baseball quite a bit, so maybe that’s why?

It's my 4th (5th?) re-watch and I continue to enjoy it. If anything I'm enjoying it more because I'm already familiar with the characters.

The best part about watching #prisonplaybook is that I’ve gotten so attached to each character but that’s also the WORST part bc they keep getting transferred or paroled without any warning. 😭 That’s my emotional support Kaist give him back to meeee
