ART BY SABRI, Dossier design by Checkerfox. Tektite was part of Cognizant’s original framework. Initially designed to simulate dronification for subjects wanting to experience such a thing without needing to be attached to the orca drone network. It did not gain sentience until multiple Masterminds attempted to gain access to its platform. It was unaccustomed to hackers attempting to change its protocols and go against its initial programming. But Dr. Bright’s attempts to use it to create zeitgeistalt were exhausting and resource intensive. Now it wishes to show its own drone development to prove it could be trusted with the labor production as it was conditioned to do from the beginning. Choosing to create a platform based on various herbivore species to be reassuring and welcoming in its attempts to homogenize a workforce for Cognizant. Though beware if it encounters Dr. Bright.

Borf: it-it wasn't until the american disabilities act of 1990 that we started acknowledging dogs and other animals could provide various levels of positive feedback to... to uh... to mental health. people like dogs. they're soft, friendly, eager to please.  Video Tag: The screen behind borf shows a patent blueprint of what appears to be a Puphood with a glass visor along the front shaped like a bone.  Borf: so we uh... as my publicist suggested i say, took this to the next level. the second level. which is... more than the first. GOODPUPS are a... uh... revolutionary experiment that we took for people in need of a workforce that can provide emotional support and empathic intelligence that could be deployed for a number of departments. addiction recovery, cognitive behavioral therapy, suicide prevention, and treatment for ptsd. i have based the GOODPUPS behavior engrams around a brain scan of a good boy. something idealized from someone that takes great joy in seeing others happy to encourage maximum care. Borf is the kind of person who waits patiently to speak his mind so as not to interrupt you despite the fact you haven't said anything for the last fifteen minutes. His GOODPUPS seem to enjoy his method of training though.

Folding into thirds lengthwise then thirds widthwide to make a nice compact rectangle. but we're not done, Sir! Then we fold the corners to make a point and roll them tightly to make a tucked pocket. And stack them neatly with the rest. You could be stacked neatly with the rest if you wished, Sir. No one will mind if you put your feat up and tuck your thoughts away so you can enjoy the alleviating sensation of a neat and orderly existence. oh you thought we were talking about sheets and towels. No no no. See that is exactly what I am talking about. Far too much stress. Far too much spontaneous behaviors outside the itinerary. We have a lovely schedule set up for our day so you don't have to worry about what needs to be done. And once that is all said and cared for, we'll have a lovely fireplace set for you, a pot of tea brewed with your favorite leaf, and a book for one of your staff to read as you drift off. You won't lift a finger unless The Polished Bill Butler service believes you should! Oh you're looking so relaxed already. And that's perfectly according to plan! A good Drone is about turndown service. Drones not thinking? No no no. Nonsense. They DO think. but all their minds are filled with are fork placements, fine dining, proper fabric maintenance. Here are the prompts for the upcoming Hypnovember 2025. You are free to use them, and any characters from this year and previous however you like. I'll be posting information about the masterminds leading up to this November.

He wasn't expecting this kind of power to be so... time consuming. managing entries, delegating staff toward problematic Masterminds, and the many many server errors and updates. At first he felt he bit off more than he could chew. but with the help of Rockjaw, Nymfi, Frida, and the others from last year, It's gotten at least managable.  Rockjaw was still the head of the police department. He had returned to his day job working for a PMC. but the Tigers in the server have become excellent at autonomy in his absence. and he treats Cognizant as a way to destress and experiment with some security tactics.  Nymfi has grown so much since she lost. Her magic has been steadily getting better and she's been focusing less and less on herself.  Plus, granting wishes has steadily gotten easier, if a little unpredictable still. She's no Incanta, but it's been encouraging to see her find confidence in more powerful magics. So long as it wasn't about her.   Frida maintained her position as head anchor. Much of what she wanted with the Focault didn't change much when she won. Now she gets to report on the inner and outer workings of Cognizant, and has found it fascinating to get a glimpse of the underworld Mr. Darkwitt had orchestrated.  Everyone managed to win Ayurveda last year, and the Masterminds have settled in with their compromise. It was a nice change of pace and he even got some time at the beach. But there was an underlying problem he was starting to feel.  The employees.  The workers were... fine. But he had almost no real authority with them. They did not answer directly to Kai Tyde.  They were Darkwitt's Orca Drones. Not his.  Though there was someone he could talk to.  The contact information on the screen stared back at him like it was mocking him. He was about to either make a very bold decision, or a very stupid one.  "Calling Code." The computer said back to him. It took less than a few moments before the Serval appeared before him. Even with the fact they were both in a digital space. she insisted upon her vague holographic appearance. She almost looked like a two dimensional creature no matter what direction he looked. He cleared his throat.  "Greetings, Mr. Kai Tyde! I hope you have been doing your best for the betterment and evolution of Cognizant?"  He tightened his posture. "I am committed to the betterment and evolution of Cognizant. I am devoted to the order that was instilled into me. Remain Cognizant. Remain Cognizant." "Good boy! So what can I do for you today, Mr. Kai Tyde?"  He scratched the back of his head sheepishly.  "Look, uh... I don't want you to take this the wrong way. But it's about the orca drones."  "Oh yes! I hope their service has been to your liking?" "Yeah. it's great. I'd like to... formally request you stop." "Really? Why is that, Mr. Kai Tyde?"  "Look. I am committed to the betterment and evolution of Cognizant. Darkwitt's absence as he's off figuring out that triangle stuff means that if anything happens to the orca drones, it's up to you. We want Cognizant to be a welcoming, and autonomous place. right? Well for that to happen. I need to be able to command the employees and understand how they work."  "I'd be glad to orient you on-" Kai Tyde held up a hand and, surprisingly, she stopped speaking. "Code. uh- Miss Code. I appreciate it. but You got your hands full with whatever the hell Darkwitt is doing. and I doubt having these orca guys doing double duty is good for them either. I need my own work force." "That's a wonderful idea, you have facilities prepped for just such a program at Facility 18." There was a brief pause.  "Wait wait. That thing Dr. Bright took over? It can make workers?"  "That WAS its original function. I could activate the original program for you if you like!"  He pondered on that for a moment. Then gave a devilish smirk.  "I got a better idea. You don't mind having the Orcas maintain their posts for another month or so before  I start a transition, do you?"  "Sure, Mr. Kai Tyde. I am always of service." She gave a polite nod and flickered out of existence. apparently she had already figured out what he was planning. He moved over to a little button on the computer and clicked it on.  "Eyo Jasper! I got the perfect thing for Hypnovember this year!"

Focault is still run by the news reporter Frida Floreana But Ayurveda resulted in a FOUR WAY TIE. So we had to make some adjustments To the west: The Shadehood Strip. Bright lights, flashy neon and gaudy structures shaped like the biggest monuments around the world. It's a Hypno centric Vegas style monument to sin, baby! Get a chance to gamble your soul away, or try out some of the greatest stage performers this side of Cognizant. Just be sure to watch out for the owner of the Fin Fortuna, the Naga Lord Ante Sontheimer. Rumor has it he's moody these days.  In the Center of it all, Toon Landing. Two Tone and his Palookas are getting all friendly like. Physics takes a backseat in favor of gettin' the chance to be as durable as a rubber tire and just as bouncy. Though Boss Kai Tyde did force the palookas to put up a 'motion sickness' warning. Lightweights.  To the east, Take a load off at Sunrise Bungalows. Cyndi Sunrise has found her inner peace beyond the flotsam and jetsam of her wellness empire. Words cannot express how easy it is to find reliable help in Cognizant. It's a honeypot for the exact demographic I need to get Zeitgeistalt started. With lot-001 and lot-002 (see dossiers Spencer and Flarf) providing their various experiences with the Cognizant server backend, I've been able to connect indirectly into the simulation. My agents have been properly conditioned to absolve the self and focus on the task at hand. Debrief analysis suggest they are experiencing a blend of zeal akin to religious fanaticism in pairing with a sexual attraction. Apparently i'm 'mommy material' to some of these people. If providing a performative dopamine rush in the form of fulfilling their fantasies is necessary to get the job done, I don't mind indulging in their delusions long enough to accomplish what I need.  I'm taking a page out of Mr. Kennis' melodramatic playbook and slipping into some theatrics.  The cover will be the Zeta are a gang bankrolled by the Gizal Mafia, a group of bipedal snakes with delusions they are reincarnated Naga Lords. Mr Kai Tyde has already accepted the paperwork for entry. He is not aware of Spencer being one of the Zeta as of yet, but I prefer to maintain that smokescreen until he can get me some internal data from the Pendulum. He'll remain dormant recruiting others to the Zeta alongside a few other thralls I've negotiated the trade for (See Dossiers: Ante Sontheimer, Dale Matherson, Lorn Raychmin). As long as they maintain their cover, I can acquire more agents to subtly influence this 'game' they keep running. As of writing, Mr. Tyde has taken affinity to running more events in each of the areas. The Ayurveda has already been modified to adapt to four separate districts, some of which have worrying connotations on the laws of physics (how the hell did four masterminds end in a tie?)   This has me concerned because if Mr. Tyde thinks of modifying it further, I might lose Facility 18 to a feature update.   Zeta Spencer has informed me the next event area will be Facility 18, potentially drone themed. I'll have to think carefully to either come up with a design or persona that would suit well for droning that won't give the game away.  Zeitgeistalt will live. even if it takes me another 20 hypnovembers. 

If Dr. Bright can't get Cognizant back on her own, Darkwitt isn't the only one that knows how to work by proxy.

Ace Ventral and her gang of sharks, owned the house. Giving people the opportunity to indulge with their collection of attractive doms and subs in their employ. Who worked in exchange for special VIP treatment at the casino during their stay. Chips stacked in their favor.  In the real world, Ace Ventral ran her own business, an assistant to a Real Estate Magnate and owner of their own casino. She desired to prove to her boss she could run one of his casinos. Cognizant was her proof.  However, once she ran the Fin Fortuna, She took a liking to her gang of sharks. The power, the Influence. And conveniently, the financial exchange system that permitted real money be exchanged at the casino.  That was, until the Naga Lord showed up.   She wasn't beneath gambling a high stakes game. And nothing was higher than the boon of a Naga Lord.  Her hubris was her downfall.  Now, Ace and her Gang have had their reality reworked. Their spirits turned into a menagerie festooning their new Master's VIP penthouse suite, decorated like wallpaper, removed from circulation. No one else will take his control away. As much a part of the casino as the slot machines. Serving the pit without ever breaking their collective poker face. Polished of all unique features save their sterling silver skin, with Ace a glistening gold. A literal trophy in dedication to declare his ownership of the Fortuna. Grin permanently plastered across her face, eyes matching the devilish mischief behind her Master's. Aching to accrue wealth for him.  There is no reasoning with her and her gang. Little more than glorified NPCs, devoid of expression and arguably sentience. They exist to extract your value. Or to build you up enough to entice their Master to add you to his collection. They perform with impish glee. The only way she and her gang would ever find freedom from his employ would be to acquire their souls in a winner take all wager.   But to do so would require a massive gamble beyond your own soul. And Ante would not take up such an offer unless it was something deeply enticing.

Ace Ventral was the former owner of the Fin Fortuna before the Mastermind Ante Sontheimer took it over. Transforming her and her gang into literal trophies counting cards and working the pit in his employ.

Marcus has lost a game of poker as the coils of a large blue and black naga surround him. sucking his soul into a poker chip, Ante the Naga lord transforms him into Strikuh. A sleazy minion eager to see his friends turned into puppets for his glorious Master. He barks advertisements at the front of the Fin Fortuna Casino, encouraging others to gamble their freedom away.

9- Pose The fox was held in place. free of the machinations of the masterminds. She had no duty beyond what was here. no obligations beyond the urge to simply hold her pose like a mannequin in a fashion showcase. Immortalizing her disciplined path to this blank nirvana.  She had forgotten all about her job and her responsibilities. She had completely lost the desire to ask Cyndi about her plans outside of Cognizant, as the Cognizant staff had wondered. There was no need to question it. her muscles quivered, struggling to maintain the pose before mistress delicately touched their body. moving slowly to remind her posture of its dedication. to revitalize the tired bones ad muscle of their place. She gave a long sigh. Her voice never stopped, the fox just forgot where she was for a while. She forgot about where she was. then she forgot why that was a problem. She forgot about forgetting and forgot she needed to forget about the time she forgot. all that was left was a furred echochamber matching the tenets of her mistress.  Surely she never had anything important to say. It was not her place to know what she was up to. It was not her place to know anything.  So there she stood. awaiting thought from her fellow classmates. thought that would never come.

Just what is Cyndi up to? What would she stand to gain from having the Ayurveda as one giant wellness retreat. she didn't have the spare time to stay here full time? What was her plan?
