The game has just begun: Obsidian (with the black warrior pieces) took the first turn and presumably threw a 2, moving their first warrior from the city. Jade's five warriors (green on the Psion LCD, grey here in the emulator) are still at home, waiting for Jade to throw the casting sticks and move one of the warriors out.

Beginning a game of #Puluc, each player has five warriors lined up ready to set out from their city. Casting sticks act as dice, determining how far you can move. Capture or slay all your opponent's warriors to win. You can get the game for the #PsionSeries3 from cyningstan.itch.io #Psion

A screenshot of the settings screen. These are the default settings: "Human vs: Easy Psion, Throws: Culin, Captures: Forward, Pieces: 5, Highway: Finite." The settings are explained in the manual, but for a quick introduction to the game these are probably the best settings to start with.

#Puluc has been played in different ways. The version for the #Psion supports these variations by letting you tweak the rules. You can select from three levels of difficulty for the computer player, or play against a human. Get the game for the #PsionSeries3 from cyningstan.itch.io/puluc

Four cute little Psion Series 3 computers at various stages of running Puluc. The Psion at the top left is at the settings screen, allowing the rules and opponent to be set up before the start of a game. The Psion at the top right is at the start of a game, with the Obsidian player (with the black pieces) having thrown a 2 on the casting sticks. The bottom left Psion is well into a game, with pieces having been captured and recaptured although none have been slain yet. The bottom right Psion has reached the end of a very pacifistic game, in which Obsidian has captured all of Jades warriors, which are green on the Psion screen, but none have been slain.

Today, I released #Puluc for the #PsionSeries3! Puluc is an old board game possibly dating back to the Mayans. Two players send their warriors towards their enemy's city, trying to capture and slay their enemies. Puluc for the Psion Series 3 is available from cyningstan.itch.io/puluc
