Many #adoptees were #PrisonBorn but never knew it. This #HiddenHistory persists, especially if their mother was a juvenile. In Canada a Children's Aid Society can't disclose whether she was incarcerated at the time of their birth.

Alarming are mothers labeled 'juvenile delinquents,' as the YCJA prohibits disclosing this information. While adoption records may be open, knowledge of a delinquent mother is still withheld. Any #Adoptee could be affected and still doesn’t know.
