That said…yes, okay…but sadly, this book didn’t quite hook me as well as the first book did and I’m not sure why. Perhaps I was feeling too scattered. Something i think the Locus review of #QueenDemon misses is that grief, trauma, and struggle of rebuilding themselves harken back to #Tolkien and the creation of the fantasy genre. The writing today may be more visceral, with a more scientific understanding of what trauma does to person

My Saturday night and I couldn't be happier.

"Wheel of the Infinite" and "Death of the Necromancer" are my all-time faves but I do love this series too.
