Final journey of the day was initially the most stressful. To cut a VERY long story short, our scheduled train didn’t have enough carriages so standing room only, even 1st class, with seat reservations cancelled. So caught the next train which was virtually empty! Nice work GWR!

The Eurostar check-in was as bad as expected, plus I got my razor blades confiscated. First time that had happened. Still the departure lounge is much more pleasant than that at St Pancras. However, on the way to London on time so all is well.

At Hendaye it is a very short walk from the Euskotren station to the SNCF one. However, there is no cafe in either station so if you want breakfast you need to dash to the cafe across the road before your fellow travellers realise this!
