I grew up watching Dick Button commentate for ABC's Wide World of Sports. The man knew his sport, and I learned so much about figure skating from listening to him. #RIPDickButton, one of the sport's greatest advocates.

I do remember hearing that! Probably from one of the ABC producers I interviewed. Mr. Button was extremely business-savvy! #RIPDickButton

#DickButton was an obvious interview wish when I wrote #SkatingonAir. While that didn't happen-- he was writing his own book at the time, among other reasons- the personal stories shared with me by ABC and NBC folks alike fully underscored his tremendous importance in #figureskating. #RIPDickButton
