I really cannot explain how much The Maxx story had an impact on me. I saw it and read it later on in life but it was amazingly impactful. I only wish that you will all watch or read that story. Please. #RIPSamKieth
Saddened to hear of the passing of Sam Kieth. He was my kind of comic artist. His work was full of life and pushed comics into new and exciting places. I remember people not being fans, especially on Sandman but for me his work was beautiful and he will be missed #RIPSamKieth

Since I posted news of the passing of Sam Kieth, 2 hours ago, I felt the urge to stay up and rough pencil sketch a couple of images of his character, the Maxx. He’s crying, in both. One in his real world and the other in the Outback. Rest in peace, Sam Kieth.

Very sad news. I was introduced to his work when he worked for Marvel Comics Presents. His art style was so unique & challenging, especially against the likes of Jim Lee & the like, that many people I knew bounced right off it. But honestly, his work was truly something special. #RIPSamKieth
