Beautiful grass snake at #RSPBOtmoor today

First grass snakes spotted this morning at #RSPBOtmoor ❤️

A patch of green moss on top of a fence post. It has masses of slender shoots with thin reddish stems with a green teardrop shaped blob at the end which curves downwards to form the shape of a swan’s head and neck.

I think this is the delightfully named Swan’s-neck thyme
-moss. It was on top of a fencepost at RSPB Otmoor today.
