We had a completely different task at Silver Slashers today, and something I've wanted to try for many years. We helped rebuild a drystone wall by the stepping stones on the coastal path near Newborough. We all enjoyed the challenge and had great fun!

The last Silver Slashers outing of the year was in Valley to replace a coastal path boardwalk in very muddy conditions! We managed to clean up enough to enjoy our Christmas lunch at The Bull in Valley.

Today the Silver Slashers were clearing a footpath, removing fallen trees and replacing some steps between Llandonna and Pentraeth forest. There's old trees and lots of evidence of previous hazel coppicing.

Silver Slashers today were working on a footpath between Llangwaladr church and Hermon, replacing a rotten footbridge and clearing a hidden lane. Plenty still to do so we'll be back.

We replaced about 24m of boardwalk at Silver Slashers today, on the Anglesey coastal path running inland alongside the A4080. It's a 600m stretch and there's more needs doing, so we'll definitely be back there!

Today at Silver Slashers we were replacing a wooden handrail with a plastic one, which should last many years. The footbridge crosses the river Braint, very close to the ancient burial mound of Bryn Celli Ddu.
