Me, considering the airline credit I have because of the #Dreamers&Readers cancellation:

Were you at #Readercon this year? Did you see--or pop a message into--The 500-Year Time Capsule? Book an entry time to see the final collection for it, at my capstone installation "An Apothecary Dreams": wp.wpi.edu/apothecaryca...
I moderated a panel at #Readercon Beyond Afrofuturism with @sumikoska.bsky.social @zinrock.bsky.social @pdjeliclark.bsky.social @andreahairston.bsky.social . 1 question I didn't get to ask was how much horror is embedded in Black stories regardless of genre category.
New on Narrated: @sullery.bsky.social and I enjoyed talking about The Bewitching by @silviamg.bsky.social. Also some Murderbot talk and me being excited about books by @caitlinrozakis.bsky.social, who I interviewed at #Readercon

At #Readercon I was on a fantastic panel about the Undeath of the Author: How much of the story does the author "own" once it's published? The conversation had nothing to do with AI, was more focused on an essay author fan interactions. However the basic implications of had a clear connect to AI.

Haven't yet fully processed #Readercon, but getting on the road tomorrow for my first ever #GenCon Writer's Symposium. I'ma be busy on 9 panels! Only @mauricebroaddus.bsky.social could get me to drive cross Ohio. Where's my green book? See you all soon!
Great idea for #readercon. Meet the Pros is on Fri as an icebreaker, though that's late night. Did you get to the consuite? Looks like a good place to meet folx.
Idea: an attendee-organized breakfast on Fri--meet in the restaurant to share a table. @readercon.org
Wish I were closer to Pittsburgh. Maybe next year for Confluence! Though on the heels of #readercon, I don't know.
Yeah, represent us Susan! #solarpunk

The hardcover special edition of @ceciliatan.com 's Magic University is ga-ga stunning! But no way would it fit in my luggage. So I settled for book 1.

Post Con exhaustion is REAL 😫 but I had a lot of fun at #ReaderCon! Met a lot of people and learned a lot about my process as a writer! Particularly about character motivations and the emotions that drive them.

This is my favorite picture of me from #ReaderCon, I dunno why.
A little late, but I had a wonderful time at #Readercon this weekend! There's a reason it's one of my favorite cons. Thank you so much to all the volunteers who put this together. ❤️
🧵 Huge thanks to @stevendbrewer.com for selling books (including mine) at our publisher's table at #readercon
And, of course, huge thanks to those who bought THE WORKING!
[I'm still aglow from being @readercon.org so this thread may continue!]

🧵 I love connecting with others--that's the best part of #Readercon . The downside of this hotel was no common outside area where everyone congregated. There were 2 obvious patios + a stealth deck + a hidden patio. Some folx never found all 4! (hi @wiswell.bsky.social !)

Home from Readercon! I had a wonderful time. But I am so tired now. I’m having a nap with the cat.

A great ReaderCon this year! Amazing panels & discussions. Great hallway conversations. Fantastic authors & editors. The Karaoke party was pretty rad too, from what I heard. Great to reconnect with friends. Sorry if I missed you. We'll get another chance next year.

This is a very important thing said on the #Readercon panel, Harry Potter and the Undeath of the Author! The author isn't required to write what you want them to write, but if an author's actions disappoint you, you're allowed to grieve the image of them you cultivated in your mind.
This is the Optimism and Horror #Readercon panel featuring @wiswell.bsky.social, F. Brett Cox, @kmayquist.bsky.social, Joey Zone, and I. Our conversation covered belonging, companionship, and solace in not being paranoid when you're right, the sky is falling! Photo: @drawnonglass.bsky.social

Readercon was so good to me! Leaving with a buzzing brain, long reading list, stickers and notes and reaffirmation that stories and imagination matter

Thank you so much #Readercon! I had a lovely time! Sunday had panels on Climate Change, Whimsy, and a reading by the ever wonderful @charliejane.bsky.social !!!
Always a pleasure to see so many wonderful people, buy books, get books signed, and soak in the brilliance of our community!

We had a blast at Readercon!
Thank you to @deannasjolander.bsky.social of Rook Creek Press, who sidled up to us at the bar and decided we were friends.
The Meet the Pros(e) event on Friday night was hella fun.
And all love to the many VP alumni we got to hang with last night!

I’m helping out w/ audio at this year’s #ReaderCon. #Volunteering to help the #SFFH community is my small way of fighting back against policies & actions meant to dismantle and destroy writers, artists, creativity, and critical thinking thought.
