The box for the game Mickey's Speedway USA, which I thought was not great. On the left is the classic Came Boy Color vertical banner with Game Boy in dark blue bold sans serif font and color in whimsical rainbow color comic sans-ish font. The main image is Mickey, Goofy, and Pete (for some reason) driving old formula 1 style race cars. Mickey has a determined face and is steering hard left in his red car, Goofy is doing goofy things and driving his green car one-handed, and Pete is in the back in a yellow car going "aaaaaaaarrrrgh" probably. The game title is at the top, slightly blurred by the background action blur. Mickey's Speedway is in cartoonish yellow bold sans serif font with red outline and USA is in garish American flag colors in the same font but bigger. In the bottom right corner, a triangle is in silver that reads "only for game boy color" using all the same fonts as the left banner. The box for the game Where In The World Is Carmen Sandiego?, which I thought was fine. It is a green box with the title near the top in very bold sans serif all caps white font. Just above it is a thin grey banner with the word EXPLORATIONS in it. Near the bottom are the computing requirements in a grey striped rounded rectangle and a little graphic telling you about how The World Almanac is included as a guide with the Broderbund logo under it. The cover for the Mock Orange / The Borgo Pass split 7", which I thought was fine. It is a picture of a highway across a body of water, with a slight slope leading down to a long, flat bridge and nothing on the horizon. The sky is cloudy on the left side and a very pale blue on the right as if around sunset or sunrise. The approaching cars have their lights on and the lanes the viewer appears to be traveling in are mostly empty. An overlay of yellow in a vertical stripe has been added along the left quarter of the image, with a thin white border. Mock Orange is in the top left, with "mock" in the yellow stripe, and orange right next to it in the blue clouds. The Borgo Pass is in the bottom right in the gap between cars on the roadway. Both are in all lower case sans serif font with some slightly weird kerning after the r's and no spaces.

This is the cover for the Hot Water Music / Bouncing Souls split 7", which I thought was pretty good. It is an all black cover with two symbols on it. The Bouncing Souls symbol is in red in the lower left, taking up about half the cover, and is an anchor with a heart that has a crack through it in front of the shaft of the anchor. The Hot Water Music symbol is in white in the upper right, about the same size, and is the classic HWM flame over two wiggly streams of water logo. The two logos are slightly intertwined, with the water overlapping the heart and the pointy part of the anchor curling up to overlap the water. In my copy, these are both foil embossed!

I listened to the split 7" by The Bouncing Souls and Hot Water Music and thought it was 𝗣𝗥𝗘𝗧𝗧𝗬 𝗚𝗢𝗢𝗗 (⭐⭐⭐⭐).

The cover for the Girl At The Zoo EP by Captain Crunch, which I thought was not great. It is a black and white woven fabric pattern background (maybe a speaker grille cover on a Marshall cabinet?) with white and red printing. In a white pasted-on rectangle at the top is the band name in a tall sans serif all caps font that looks like it is from the 60's and at the bottom in a similar rectangle is the EP title followed by e.p. in the same font. In the middle is a red and white concert photograph of a male-presenting figure in a leather jacket playing a low slung guitar and singing at a microphone. I think it is the guy I was in a band with for a second. There is a stack of amps in the background. Everything is mildly off-level as if hand crafted, by the way. It looks pretty cool, actually.

Around the edge is an intricate design of intertwined thick white lines making square, pointed, and sometimes circular turns. In the middle is a white heart with a drawing of a semi truck and a sun with extensive flames around it. Above the heart is the band name in a white rectangle in a chunky cartoonish and askew font. The box for the game Riddle of the Sphinx, which I thought was pretty good. It is a silver box - which comes through kind of grey in the scan - and has a number of colorful horizontal stripes. At the top is the Imagic logo (quite like the nintendo logo with a different font), below that is a thick red stripe with the game title in a vaguely Egyptian bold and round sans serif font, below that is a shorter orange stripe with "Video Game Cartridge For the ATARI Video Game System and Sears Video Arcade" in an italic sans serif font. A couple more decreasingly tall stripes in yellow, green, blue, and purple, and then we get the main image which is a mystical looking zoom-blurred photo of a sphinx in front of a digital graphic of some mountains, a deep red sun (or moon?), and a starry sky. There is a strip of multicolor heiroglyphics just below the mountains, as well. Below the main image is some more stripes that are actually trapezoids decreasing in height and width in red, orange, yellow, and green.

The cover for the double 7" collection Blood, Guts, & Penis by 10:07, which I thought was pretty good. It is a hand drawn image printed in a green/blue/purple/red gradient from right to left. The image is of a sausage on a platter cut in half and steaming. The band name is at the top in a large square font with serifs and a squiggly outline. The record title is in the middle in a hand drawn sans serif all caps font between wisps of steam. At the bottom it reads "limited edition double 7 inch!" in a slightly more neurotic version of the hand drawn font for the title. Once, I saw a copy of this signed in blood, but this is not that copy.

The banner from the arcade game Donkey Kong, which I thought was fine. On the left of the banner is Donkey Kong himself, a brown gorilla if you didn't know, running and flailing his arms. Just over his shoulder is a literally white-skinned woman with blond hair wearing a red top. She is in a circle kind of like peeking out of a hole and reaching a spindly arm to the right. On the far right is a crudely drawn Mario with hairy arms and chest wearing only red overalls, brown shoes, and his signature red hat. Just above him he seems to be dodging two barrels falling from the sky. The game name is at an angle in the middle of a white stripe in a circusy hand drawn very bold font with white and black outlines and stars in the middle of the O's. Bordering the white stripe are alternating stripes of orange and red that fill the rest of the banner except for a plain Nintendo logo just below the highest part of the game name.

The cover for the No Worse For The Wear single by Big Drill Car, which I thought was not great. It is a blue/brown/black image of an upside down broken guitar, with the head lying next to the body and the neck at a strange angle. Strings are tangled up in the mess and it appears to be on a wood floor of some kind, maybe a stage. At the top is a white banner with the band name on the left in tall all caps red sans serif font. The song titles are in the same font but about 25% as tall on the right and the two label logos appear above that in the top right corner. Pretty straightforward and classic.

The record cover for the self-titled Cheap Tragedies 7", which I thought was not great. It is a black and white cover of a close up of pinball machine's playing field. Near the bottom are the two flippers and between them are slightly off centered concentric circles in alternating black and white signifying a hole. The bottom corners have a bunch of angled white lines on black kind of like comets. on either side of the flippers are two small scenes of rooftops in a town. The band name is just above the two flippers with Cheap in all caps white on black wooden blocks with an extra planet block and Tragedies in handwritten all caps scrawl. Above the band name is a strange door or cabinet with many rectangular holes. Either side of that are two pinball bumpers with humanoid space-suited folks on them. A cloud of more comets shoots upwards and a rocket is in the top right and maybe a brick wall is in the top left. Lots going on!

Promo image for the game Lego Horizon Adventures, which I thought was fine. There's really a lot crammed in this image and all of it is made of digital representations of lego pieces. Trees, tall grass, desert, mountains, and rock outcroppings all appear around the edges or in the background. In the far background is a Thunderjaw which is a large robot dinosaur kind of like a T-Rex with a long articulated neck and weapons mounted to the sides. It is shooting downwards at two of the heroes being chased by a Watcher. A Watcher is a little robot dinosaur kind of like a T-Rex with one glowing eye and no weapons. The two heroes are Aloy and Varl. Varl is on the right and has dark lego skin, a short haircut, cool blue "tribal" makeup over one eye, a cape, and is holding a spear as if to throw it. Aloy is in the middle and has pale lego skin, long red braided hair, a glowing blue round lego on the side of her head, and has just fired an arrow from her bow which is flying through the sky. The title of the game appears at the top with the lego logo, Horizon in a sort of futuristic but hand-painted at the same time all caps sans serif font with extra lines connecting letters, and Adventures in an negative space font with thick white outline and slightly chaotic straight line only all caps letters.

This is the CFP side and is a parody of the KISS record Rock And Roll Over, with a red saw blade style circle in the middle with the band name around the circumference in a Star Trek italic font and the track name at the corners outside the saw in a blue all caps bold sans serif font with lightning bolts hanging down like icicles below it. There's an orange border around the whole thing and the background behind the circle is black.
