Weaver had a bench warrant for failure to appear on firearms charges. He refused to surrender; so did members of his immediate family & friend, Kevin Harris. Weaver’s wife, his 14-yr-old son and his dog were killed as was a US Marshal.

They were known Aryans and preached white supremacy. There was an 18-month investigation. I don't agree with the means, but the end was for the best. The only thing I feel bad about is the dog. The US Marshalls killed his dog on purpose. That always bothered me
