Hussam Kamel Ali al-Omar, a member of the #Shaitat clan, was arrested by ISI*S in 2017 for his clan affiliation and alleged participation in fighti*ng against the group. He found himself imprisone*d in Halawa #prison, where he endured horrific tortu*re.

During its control of the #Shaitat towns in #DeirEzzor, eastern #Syria, in 2014, ISI*S turned an estimated 25 houses into security prisons in which hundreds of clansmen were torture*d and disappeared.
