In her memory, the Children’s Peace Monument stands in Peace Park, where children from around the world still send paper cranes today.

She and her mother survived but suffered the 'black rain' fallout but were severely irradiated by #USA atomic bomb. She died 10 years later age 12 from leukaemia.
Today she is a symbol of international peace. ☮️

HERE on the 80th ANNIVERSARY of the Bombing of #HIROSHIMA .. #Seattle made note that they have a special little PEACE PARK dedicated to #SadakoSasaki ... the girl who folded CRANES...
This story from 2010 www.historylink.org/File/9352
She died in 1955,
ten years after the bomb.
She is remembered through the story of her cranes,
and her wish for peace.
But 79 years later,
children still die,
and peace is still just paper.

#6August #politischeBildung #otd #Senbazuru #SadakoSasaki

To me, this just shows that Musk values things over human life. Despicable.
